The Little Hand Stitch Book Online:
A creative, contemporary approach to embroidery through basic design and color. This course serves as a basic introduction to the vast world of embroidery. 
Techniques and stitches will be worked in imaginative methods using color, line, shape, and balance. Using your own hand-dyed fabric and threads, you will create a variety of small, embroidered samples to include line, detached, textured, and composite stitches.

Open to All Levels of Experience – Learn to Dye like a Professional!
Starting with a 3 day retreat in our La Conner studio, we’ll be learning to dye fabrics and threads with Procion MX dyes, as well as starting to learn some of the many stitching that will be going into your little stitch book. Our 4 online class sessions include personalized online Power Point Presentations with Gail Harker, discussions, 25 videos and a PDF workbook of 14 lessons.. Workbook pdfs and videos will be sent to students after each mentored online session. There is lots of information about fabrics, fabric painting, threads, needles, techniques and stitch diagrams.
You can get to know and develop friendships with the other students in our in-person session and then deepen the relationships during our online class sessions. Unlike most online courses, you’ll be meeting online with your tutor and other students, to learn, discuss, and participate in a community of like-minded stitchers!
