5″ x 7″ artwork by Christina Fairley Erickson. Inspired by Ottoman Turkish design, this piece is on a hand-dyed linen ground with pearl rayon and Kreinik metalic threads.Stitches include traditional and Turkish embroidery stitches: raised satin, and “balik sirti” or fishbone stitch, couching and Bukhara self-couching. Padded and laced over mat board.
