5” X 7” artwork by Sheila Asdal. This piece begins with a base of hand-dyed/painted cotton fabric machine stitched over heavy interfacing to form the bark base. Then raised cup stitch, French and bullion knots, overtwist stitch and seed stitches fabricate the clump of moss.
