The Gail Harker Center for Creative Arts is pleased to participate in the PechaKucha Night at the Museum of Northwest Art in La Conner on Saturday March 14.

At PechaKucha Night, presenters will share hilarious, heartwarming, tear-jerking, and inspirational stories in a fast-paced presentation of 20 slides for 20 seconds each. This PechaKucha’s theme is Especially Special, and there will be a cash bar. Presenters will include:
Kate Clark
Kate is the lead artist of Parkeology, a public art project about the hidden histories of civic space.
Andrea Alaniz
Andrea is the Outreach Coordinator for the Mount Vernon City Library.
Cathy Stevens, Dick Reim, and Lavone Newell-Reim
Cathy has been photographing Skagit Valley artists for over thirty years.
Dick Reim is a retired educator who spent thirty plus years as a Stanwood, Washington Elementary Principal.
Lavone Newell-Reim is an author, artist, and retired art teacher.
Anita Luvera Mayer
Anita creates clothing that is inspired by the women of the world, what they wear, the lives they lead, and the cultures they represent.
Gail Harker
Gail Harker is a graduate (with distinction) and was awarded a Licentiateship by the City & Guilds of London Institute. She taught and verified for City & Guilds in the UK, then moved to North America to found the Gail Harker Center for Creative Arts in 1995.

About Gail Harker Center for Creative Arts: Internationally known textile and fiber artist, author, and educator Gail Harker has the equivalent of a Masters in textile and fiber art as well as Contemporary Embroidery, also known as Stitch.
