Learn how to work as a textile artist. Derive inspirational ideas from historical and contemporary stitch studies. Develop inspiration into powerful images with design, embroidery techniques and stitch. Create an innovative portfolio of samples and sketchbooks with an emphasis on finishing stitched artwork and unique presentation skills. Each of the six class sessions in the studio and five online sessions provide the skills for you to build strong artistic sensibilities and skills based on the different topics of focus for the course. Each class session – (refer to the description in the brochure) – will guide you in coloring, artistic design, technique and stitch methods. The classes provide a fresh approach based on the elements of art and design to create individual original works of textile art, with the guided mentorship of a professional, experienced tutor of the textile arts.
