Description
5 ¼” x 8 ¼” artwork by Patti Olds. The embroidery was created using hand dyed Linen and organza – dyed with Procion MX. The design was inspired by traditional Deerfield Embroidery Patterns from Colonial Massachusetts in the 1890’s. DMC embroidery floss was used to work the following stitches: Chain, Satin, Fly, Long & Short, French Knots, Split and Stem. For display purposes the piece was mounted on Book Board covered with fusible fleece and then finished by lacing.
