This course is the foundation for all fabric and stitch courses at our center with the belief that Color is a compelling force in artwork.
Create imaginative, exciting and complex color palettes at the intensive studio session. Explore and apply color theory in a myriad of ways working with brights, tints, shades and neutrals in dyes. Learn to trust your own sense of color when dyeing specialized fabric and threads. Develop and take home a sketchbook brimming with color samples and ideas in addition to an array of specifically dyed fabrics.
Continue your understanding and explorations of Color Composition online with us. Apply sensitive use of color proportion to your choices of dyed fabrics in collage or applique – with and without stitches. See other students course work and develop friendships with like-minded textile art enthusiasts!
