This class is open to all experience levels. Quilters, stitch artists, collage artists or anyone who would like to build a unique stash of fabrics or papers is welcome!
Come play in a festive atmosphere while learning to use multiple techniques to print on fabric or papers with a Gel plate. Experiment with bunta (wooden batik blocks) and other stamps, stencils, rubbing plates and special rollers that can be used to make develop complex patterning! Guided by the elements of art and principles of design, we’ll be looking at creating a set of pieces in a color theme, developing exciting shapes, pattern, rhythm, and repetition, and most of all, having a lot of fun!
You’ll go home with a wonderful set of fabrics and/or papers to include in your own quilts, wearable art, handmade books, fiber art or other art projects!
