Prerequisite: Open to anyone who has completed Level 1 Machine Stitch or has a background with free machining (ask Gail if you haven’t taken L1 Machine.)
Learn to use free machine stitching to create sketches with your sewing machine! You’ll be focusing on looking as an artist as you study plant life and imaginatively reinvent nature with your needle and thread. Explore creating a stitch sketchbook where you can refer back to recall techniques and materials for future work. You will have numerous small studies by the end of class!
This class may be purchased as part of the entire Level 2 Course of Stitch and Design (click here to see the entire course of study!) This series includes basic to intermediate coursework that teaches the student how to learn to work as a textile artist and gives a discount for the student who signs up for the whole series.
Alternatively, students can purchase any of the level 2 courses as a stand-alone, individual class.
